Didn't make it teed to rebuild my kit.  I've.decided to record my notes and research hetr, if I can

I am getting more into embroidery,  and I still have garb to make.  I need to get around to it.

First, I need to make or find the patterns.    When I make that decision, I can get started on the creation.

There's a Facebook group called "Anachronistic Crafters", where people.discuss the use of Modern tachniques or equipment (like a Cricut Maker) to create historical style items. My two favourite examples are cutting out a facing for a neckline and cutting outdecorative bands for for a German Renaissance dress.

New Garb

I am in the process of working on a new dress.  Today is Wednesday, snd it should be done in time for Sunday. I need to finish the bodice, attach the skirt (including pleating, IIRC, 80" of fabric into a 50" wsist  andvsewing on a metric craptonne of hooks and eyes to do it up. The decorating won't be done until later.  I also need to fix my hemd (chemise) because I sewed a sleeve on inside out   I hope to get "buttons" on the collar and the cuffs. I will make up something going through all the steps and include some photos. There are also a couple orher things I need to write about  ranging from historically adequate to "I needed to make it for War.

Prep fpr Pennsic War

 I get all excited about starting a new blog, then promptly forget all about it. Let's try this again. That, sai. here we go. I am a player in the SCA, where I go by the name of Edelgard, Erszebet von Wurttemberg.  I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which is part of the Midle Kingdonm.  I was part of the group 00 years ago, and have recently picked it up again.  As such, I am working to rebuild my "kit", right now with a focus on going to Pennsic (a big camping even in July/August. First thing is having to build up my wardrobe.  My personna (the person I pretend to be) is from th 1540' in the Holy Roman Empir, so modernly, Germany,} with influences from Hungary and Romania.  So  I have German Renaissance clothing to draw upon, as well as Landesknecht.
